in my opinion i wouldn't tamper with the expansion pipe just do what i did and get a resonator or cherry bomb muffler and cut it as short as you need to replace your stock can you will need a welder & cut off saw scrap pieces of metal for brackets washers work for spring holders i used a y pipe from a chevy for my exhaust doughnut and built mine on the machine for a prefect fit if you have any questions i will answer them as best i can

there was but as the sled got ridden it dissapeared i think it was the excessive heat cherry bombs arent made for that application but it was extreemly light

with a cut off saw a welder and some scrap pieces of metal laying around the shop took about a hour and a half
