  • Im sorry dude but your welds look horrible because your technique is horrible not because of the rust, by the way use a frigging grinder to get the rust off. You never make little circles or what ever you were doing. Sorry dude.

  • @sjsevier Umm my technique is perfect now, this is a demonstration of the welder, it doesnt need to be perfect okay?

  • i just got one today and what wire speed do u use

  • @fingeraballoon maybe watch the vid and read some coments

  • @sjsevier Your an idiot. Don't bad mouth something you know nothing about. Better get going or you'll be late for daycare.

  • @ringbolt9

yes it's supposed to go from 18 guage to half inch.

  • will this welding last for atv and motorcycles projects? like longer a arms ?

  • Great video. You think this welder is ok to do a 50' iron fence with gates? I may look at craigslist. Thanks/New Orleans

  • @sjsevier Yes you do, alot of people use the circle technique, especially in wire welding.

  • hey man can it do thin stuff like 14 guage? just wondereing before i buy one

  • @badass657 If you're only looking at learning, sure. Be aware of the cons below first. I'd recommend you look on craigslist or something for something by Miller or Lincoln Electric. $150 should get you an ok starter. Flux core is fine, it is just as strong (and in some situations many times stronger) as MIG.

Cons of this welder based on my experiences with it:

AC torch (DC neg tip is normal)

    Hot tip

    Sucky ground clamp

    Included wire is crap

    Two power settings

    All cables are short.

  • @sjsevier Actually, he should be doing little circles. This is a very effective welding technique that professionals all over the world use. It lets you cut into the leading edge of the weld pool and carry the heat forward. Basically you do a series of cursive "e". His weld looks bad because he's welding through rust using an AC flux core welder with a bad ground, that much is entirely obvious. It'd look better if it had a better ground, and was converted to DC.

  • dam good weld , im starting out ive seen them on sell would it be a good starter welding set up

  • @lloyd7171 1/4 inch for a boat.....as in rc boat? lol
