Early in our study, we sent a first-year resident, Dr. Makholig Jesfahted, to ask Trip about his relationship with his father. Unable to get a useful response, Dr. Jesfahted made three attempts, each on a separate visit. Dr. Jesfahted's body was sadly never found, but the following footage was captured with his hidden remote retinal camera.

  • Hang on... if Jesfahted's body was never recorded, how was the footage found?

  • @legomovieman94 You'll note we refer to the late Dr. Jesfahted's "hidden remote retinal camera". The operative word to answer your question is "remote". These devices transmit a live A/V stream to our center by way of a standard 3G data network signal. Virtually identical to videocalling from an iPhone.

  • @oldthinkertube Alright then, new question. Why does what Jesfahted says keep popping up on the bottom of the screen? Was his speech somehow garbled upon transmission?

  • @legomovieman94 One of our prior successful projects was an embedded device to enhance the brain's ability to project binary signals, which a recipient can parse into conversation. Those of us beta testing the device can carry on 1:1 or 1:∞ conversations within a range of about 5 yards, barring EMF interference or Faraday barriers. We seldom have to speak aloud at all. Decades ago, Dick Hallorann's grandmother called this technique "shining", so that's the term we have adopted here.

  • @legomovieman94 The device also projects the text into the shiner's implanted intraocular lens (IOL) in a heads-up-display fashion, hence what you see in the footage.

  • @oldthinkertube did you edit it or did this really happen?

  • @MaxterandKiwiKing Ya there's a free version. It's what I still use actually. The only real downside in the free version is that it puts a watermark at the top of the vid, but it's easy to crop out. The biggest upside is that it doesn't restrict you to 30-second recordings like free fraps does.

  • @oldthinkertube Oh,Is bandicam free?

  • @MaxterandKiwiKing LOL ;). I either used Fraps or Bandicam to record game footage. Can't remember which I was using back then. I use Bandicam pretty exclusively at this point, since the latest updates of Fraps slow Façade down even when it's not recording.
