Not as exciting as a jet turbine rc airplane crashing out of the sky, but here is Tom's not-so-good takeoff with a crash and then small fire. After the wreck, it was determined that the receiver pack had defective cells that cut out the power and communication between the transmitter and receiver. On the positive side, better to have this happend on the gound versus in the air.

Always pack or grab a fire extingusher when retrieveing aborted turbines. I dont walk when there is a small fortune on its back,,pick up the pace a bit guys.

I thought you had to have a failsafe on throttle in the USA when flying turbines. The engine didn't seem to spool down at all.
