My Range Rover 3.9 V8 EFI on a chassis dyno. The result was a very underwhelming 23.9bhp at the wheels. Stripped the distributor and rebuilt it, and hey presto, 75bhp! Result!
No, no typing error - it really was 23bhp. And it was dreadful to drive - top speed about 50mph and took ages to get there. yes 75bhp is a huge shortfall, but all they did was fix the distributor, there were still loads of problems. Since then i've done a top end rebuild, and I estimate it's up to about 120bhp now, but compression is about 70% of what it should be - new piston rings and I reckon I'd have the magic 180bhp.
yes - zf 4 speed auto

where did you find the dyno?

@rangie93 where are you based? That one is at Alan Jeffery's in Plymouth, which is a 1,000bhp 4WD dyno.
