@wackymac28 Well with the 5 years of Morninwheg and Mariucci it was the same coach, really. Millen wanted Mariucci but couldn't get him, so when Mooch was canned in SF it became obvious he was coming to Detroit. My thought on both Mooch and Marinelli is they should have had the freedom to assemble their staffs, instead of the GM doing it. Mooch never got the chance to assemble his own staff in either city, so there's no cohesion or harmony. Not sure if JS has say so, but he's been consistent.

@andrewps84 im sure he still regrets it to this day. he carried that curse with steve mariucci and he sucked and rod marinelli sucked. i feel like the lions will do well with schwartz. they have a chance to be good this year if stafford stays healthy.

@wackymac28 I agree...I'm no Michigan fan (as Mo coached there for 5 years) but I lived Gary Moeller coaching the Lions. But Ford was an idiot and probably didn't want anyone that smart running his team...hoepfully he doesn't somehow continue this curse with Schwartz.
