The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 set up a secret court to oversee physical and electronic surveillance. These days, it's all about immunity for the telecoms.

  • Check out YouTube trailer for the new Chinese spy novel called The Consulate by Thomas R. Stutler - a former FBI Agent... The setting of the book is San Francisco!

  • Who is that smoking hot babe? She is sooooo cute. I love her.

  • That's because every single president in the history of the United States has one thing in common... they're all human beings. It may sound Machiavellian, may be even a bit TOO incredulous, but human beings are venal, corrupt things with a congenital, innate ability to choose the option that yields the biggest personal gain. For all their rhetoric, not a single politician actually believes in what they say on the campaign trail; it would go against human nature for someone to be that altruistic

  • I keep reading "bush is the worst pres in history" I say BULL!

I went to the net and put in "Corruption: any presidents name, you pick... and every single one of them is corrupt and heading the country into a direction that does not benefit us the citizen. Point: We need choices when we vote. We are electing the body that the powerful need to have in office so the power base is not disturbed. All the govenrment wants is everything.

  • You really are sheep, you repeat everything the media tell you to, with out a shred of evidence, he has been found guilty. Not a shred of evidence of anything. He has been found guilty by ppl who would rather vote for their American Idol than for their representatives.

  • Thanks for your explanation, it makes sense. You're right Bush is doing what the American people wants, but that isn't necessarily the best for them (petroleum & general energy addiction). You're also right it's mostly the consumers own fault, people got too greedy. Hence the mortgage crisis. I'm in Sweden watching your mess in the US on the news, hope you'll manage to sort it out somehow.

  • Because you disagree with his policies doesn't make him a terrorist. Our troops where uniforms and declare their allegience to the USA. A terrorist does not.HE denies affiliations and hides behind civilivans. WHy do you lie?I hate Bush but he's not a terrorist or evil, he's just corrupt.

  • Bush has pressed for policies that would have helped us. Your to blame, you want you cheap shes, gas guzzling SUVs you got em. THe rising prices is the fault of the consumer, not an elected offical.Americans can't afford their bills anymore because most lack personal resposibility

  • Toompah had some good points, but might I add thousands of dead and wounded Americans and helping to spread terrorism to the list of Bush's accomplishments.

  • Are you completely stupid or just plain naive?

Or are you one of these people that believe Bush was appointed by God?

Bush will go down in history as one of the worst presidents precisely because he has done more to destroy civil liberties than anyone else has dreamed to dare. He is a careless steward of the American people and deserves to be impeached and removed from office, along with all the assholes in congress who made his tyranny possible. Yeah Bush has done a great job.
