@Support4MySingers yeh however, if you notice that was a fresh tea leave... the dry ones take more time.
-
boiling water should only be reserved for black tea :0
-
Sencha and Gyokuro should not be brewed with boiled water. Only Genmaicha, Hojicha, Bancha, and other lesser quality and toasted green teas should be brewed that way.

try my green tea and rice ochazuke

green teas brewing time is 40 seconds! to look for correct brewing time write into the seracher "sencha tea".
cheers!
-
Yeah I only do 2 infusions and I wait 30 seconds for the second infusion. A 3rd and 4th infusion is way to water tasting to me so I only ever do 2.
-
you're right you don't ever use boiling water, but it only takes 1 minute, or 10 secs for the second infusion. not 3 minutes
-
Ofc, if you're gonna use 60-75 centigrade water, you can heaten the very teacup with boiling water before pouring the tea :)
This was stupid, it takes more then 3 minutes to actually make a cup of green tea, cutting all that down to 38 seconds will not help people who want to know and you DON'T ever use boiling water on green tea, EVER!!!

brewing times usually vary depending on the type of leaf you're using too, for instance fukamushi has an instant second infusion.
