Miki Flow: Cuban Hip Hop

Miki Flow is an internationally recognized hip hop artist from Cuba, with strong roots still existing in Alamar, the birth of hip hop in Cuba.

In his words: "For me hip hop is a way of life, it has taught me to better know myself. In my songs i try to reflect the lifes truths: the good, the bad, the happy, the sad, I follow my inspirations wherever they lead me. I was born in La Timba, a poor neighborhood on the edge of the Plaza of the Revolution. You wouldnt believe the size of the potholes in the streets, cars cant even drive through anymore - these are the things that are hard to understand in Cuba. Im also from Alamar, the capital of Cuban hip hop. I arrived there just in time, right when it was all beginning. Now, after 10 years with my group Explosion Suprema Im in Washington DC, the capitalist capital: not as an exile, but but as a young man learning about other cultures.
