  • wonderful wonderful film and wonderful wonderful commentary.Well done for putting into words everything I have ever felt about this film.Much undersold in my opinion perfect vehicle for McQueen who was the coolest ever and no-one will ever be cooler.Much missed but oddly his passing at 50 or so empowers his image all the more.We won't see his powers waning and considering he was so active and adventurous we can always remember him as being the man who lived the dream as well as acted it

  • ......" A useful and valued contribution....." This is a well contructed comment and it really goes a long long way with me; from an average working man who feels the everyday dread (of redundancy) of doing repititive task hopefully to retire in the usual way-- 12 years from now. You are very enlightening --- in your review of the movie -- and of life; observations from a well educated person. Kudos.

  • Excellent review. Ive also been haunted by this Robert Wise film, it just blows films by today's standards out of the water. Today's films are so shallow or meek and full of liberal ideology that they fail to do what The Sand Pebbles provides, entertainment for the mind. A beautiful film.

    Thanks for the upload.
