  • Thanks for the kind words mate. If you casting is on the money mate, u will catch a Jack for sure, the spot you mentioned is a great place to try for them and that first one is always the hardest one. 52mm Scorpions tight in snags worked back slowly and small surface poppers are a great starting point for sure. Keep going mate the harder that first one the more satisfying.

  • I love arm chair experts, hey. Sitting behind the keyboard slinging crap at anyone and every one wholl take it. Well James, you have put me in my place hey.

  • How dare I call them what every one else calls them around here. Maybe I should use their scientific or Latin name to save on any controversy regarding commonly used names in different areas. • Gday Hodgie. Love your work and enjoyed your yarn in perth for the 4x4/Adventure show recently.

What is the rod/reel setup and size you are using for the finesse flicking of poppers?

  • one of those things bit my uncles dick off once

  • @chrisharris1117 dude take your head outa ya ass and fucking do some research before you make your self out to be a nob hope you no size limits for more fish then just bream

  • @chrisharris1117 There are different names for the same type of fish. and here in australia they are called Mangrove Jacks. Thats like u cursing at the Brits for calling Soccer, football ! . its originally called football =)

  • @chrisharris1117

The fish were definitely Lutjanus argentimaculatus aka Mangrove Jack.... They are very occaisionally called Mangrove Snapper by the misinformed - but never the less are the same fish. Ask anyone about the difference between a Mangrove Jack and a Mangrove Snapper and 99/100 people will ask "What's Mangrove Snapper?"

  • nice vid and fishing skills

i just got myself a little tinny to start cruising up the rivers in townsville hopefully i can catch some jack like that

  • FIRST OF ALL THERE MANGROVE SNAPER NOT MANGROVE JACK LEARN UR FISH
