These guitars are made of plywood...with nice veneers on top, warpage shouldn't be a major issue.
unless of course you leave it in your swimming pool for a couple of weeks!

@screwback72 I am a luthier in training, if there is such a thing, so I am just learning the ropes. Exotic woods and their different densities and how its cut (i.e. slab, quartersawn, etc.) is an art unto itself, and I know very little. When it comes to mahogony, maple and the normal tonewoods, I know basically what's what. Thanks for the info on cocobolo. Now I know a little more! ;)

@sixstringfretter the top being slab cut can cause the wood to be unstable but cocobolo is a very dense wood so in actual fact it should be ok, ps im a luthier so i know what im talking about but it is a very nice guitar

@screwback72 I don't know if it will "lose" tone, maybe the tone will change, and that's not all bad. Hard to believe an instrument like that will ever go bad. But, what do I know, right?

@SuperQuentin22 Several ways! you can order it from the manufacturers website or checking to see if they are in stock at any local guitar store. If they arent in stock you can always have them order it for ya!

it is beautiful, but it will lose shape and tone due to the top of the guitar being slab cut

@screwback72 I haven't experienced any loss of shape or tone just yet, it's style is still the way it is in this video and still resonates a bright and vibrant tone. though by the time it does lose it's shape/tone I will have plenty of other guitars just as nice, if not nicer, to compensate!

My family bought a custom home built by a retired carpenter/woodworker. He left behind a custom built cocobolo table. It was 8 ft long with folding leafs on the sides. 3/4 in. thick and extremely heavy. It was one of a kind. The wood was estimated to be worth over $100.00 per sq. ft. When we sold the home, the table sold on consignment for around 25k. From my understanding, cocobolo is a rare wood from Africa? I think Breedlove is using it as well. That's a beautiful guitar!

@72tubecat that is very interesting but i doubt my guitar would sell around that! Cocobolo is actually a tropical hardwood from Central America I dont know about the Africa thing, but hey what do I know right?
