um, this is unbelievably stupid. Have you ever seen a major leaguer do this? You drop step and throw up hill while staying low. Not to mention, if the ball is hit directly to you as a second baseman, you should be flipping it. Flips can still be made decently far, just get around the ball and get your feet moving towards second base and clear your glove.
