  • Win Butler and David Bowie side by side. My life is complete.

  • 1:51 please someone make that a gif!! Love these guys and Bowie

  • @pytko3 not to detract from what you were saying about the integrity or seriousness of Arcade Fire (which is my favorite band), but regarding cover versions: according to US (and most international) copyright law, anybody can create, publish and sell cover versions of any song they want, whether the original artists approve, don't, or don't even know. They just have to pay royalties. It's called "Compulsory Mechanical License" - you can google or wiki it.

  • i don't think i've seen this since it aired in 2005. HEAD EXPLODE

  • that one chick at 4:34 has no idea what shes saying

  • @carouselambra7 Oh yeah, Arcade Fire takes their work very seriously and they work very hard on their songs. They own their own studio and they STRONGLY maintain their publishing rights, they don't allow different versions of their songs to be published(to be put on cd or itunes) by other singers/groups and they don't publish their own versions of other songs(to be fair, I guess). They don't allow corporations to sponser them and they usually don't allow their songs to be used in ads.

  • @KoalaOdder My mistake. I thought you meant the guy that's hitting his guitar with the tamborine at the end, that's Win Butler.

You must've been refering to the red-headed guy with the bass drum and later the accordion. That's Richard Parry. Richard is a VERY talented musician who can play many different instruments! You might say it's genetic, his late father was a musician, his mother is musician and his sister is a musician(among many other things). I really like his style.

  • @joeswede89 Opps, I forgot. I was refering to the guy that hits his guitar with the tamborine at the end, that's Win. I forgot both Richard and Win use tamborines in this song.

  • @eztgirl yep, the 80's were :)

  • @pytko3

Thats not Win thats Richard. Win is the one that sings with Bowie.
