@MrAntivirusxp actualy its a 1998 z34 there for it is a 3800 they made the switch in the 1997- 1998 model year, only the 95 through 97 montes had the 3.4 DOHC witch is a little but of a faster engine that the 3800 but not nearly as reliable.

my friend used too have a 3.4 lumina i think a 98 and i used too have a 03 neon 2.0 and keep up... but now i got the 04 monte ss/sc very very nice and somewhat fast

thats what i thought but i scrathed some of it off and its the only layer of paint and an old lady owned it before i did so i know she wasnt doin anything to it lol

ive seen 99 monte carlo z34's and their engine cover is gray mine has a gold colored cover and its the only one ive ever seen like that does anyone know anything about this???

Who ever had the car before you probably painted it gold. There never was no difference in 3800's in the 98-99 montes. My engine cover on my old motor was grey. When I did my motor swap the new 3800 came with no cover at all.

They both can move depends on who downshifted first.

It wasn't really a race. It was just a friend and I doing some daily driving north of the city. Just cruising along.
