He's 23 years old, working retail at Best Buy and looking for a solid career path in the midst of economic turmoil.

Preach it, man. I bagged groceries up to 18 yrs of age before I joined up. I figured that military service would be a lot better than doing that for a living. I did agree that it was a better path. Mom and Dad squandered away all their wealth so I couldn't just go to college from the get-go.

I try not to look at it in hindsight that I had to go, but something in me wanted more. I wanted to take up a "higher calling". Not bad if you were a uneducated, unskilled penniless person like me.

Don't expect yopur Government to care about you after they have used you up.
