This is a Video of the Remaining Classic Woodwards Christmas window displays, originally in the Woodwards Department store windows in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. Now they are on display at Vancouver's Canada Place as part of their Christmas Tradition family experience. There were once 17 of these beautiful animated vignettes, created in the 1960s, but due to passing trends and as a sign of the times, these peices were seperated and sold to malls and private owners. I understand every intricate piece of the displays were hand made~ from clothes to shoes and all facial features were hand painted. I see Dave Rowland put the windows together buy need to know who actually made the diplays. PLease and thank you:)

I used to see these every year! One of my BEST childhood memories! I've been wanting to share some of the memories with loved ones and friends and now, in a way, I can!

Oh! And I love the birds like the ducks and Geese in that display. I stopped the vid to see them. They look so real! The squirell did too. Most all the animals did. Loved it! :)

I have never gone to Canada Place to see the remnants of the Woodwards displays - NEVER will either.
I hold my memories of Woodwards dear and would never be able to see them so out of place without crying. It's just wrong.
