This is a rare octopus called the wunderpus. It is found in the Indo-Pacific. The wunderpus is often confused with the Mimic Octopus. Both have the ability to camouflage themselves to look like other animals like lobsters or crabs. This animal should not be taken from the wild. It's very difficult to maintain and even under the best conditions will have a short life span in captivity. Much more research is needed before this animal should be allowed to be commercially available for the hobby.
I miss my little guy already. I only had him 10 days. He was GIVEN to me FOR FREE by a local fish store after they realized what they had bought. I in no way condone the collection and sale of these guys. Thanks for the video. Hope you have had better luck with yours.
