* Healthcare Solution: fix or all lose insurance
* Insurance covers too much: cover catastrophic, not ordinary doctor's office visits or acupuncture cosmetic or elective surgery (but doesn't preventative care cost less in the long run? NO: Since the distortion to the free market will 'ginn up' or 'bid up' the price when there's a lack of free market competition --and no money paid by the insured means NO incentive to be careful & avoid injury.)
* Malpractice litigation: cap malpractice awards & implement loser pays rule to remove incentive to frivolous litigation
* Make a deductible around 10% of your annual wage: Lowers costs for healthcare insurance AND for consumer to engage the Free Market competition to lower price since consumer would have to make a choice. Example: Lasik eye surgery is paid for by consumer, not insurance, so Free Market competition pressures caused price to drop from like 5 grand to like 299 or so in like 15 years, even though technology has increased -- offer reduced premium if deductible is placed in escrow account, since person is good for deductible AND insurance company can draw interest on account. Deductible also gives consumer an incentive to be careful and avoid injury, since it would cost to get injured.
* Single-payer system eliminates competition, and thus eliminates Free Market pressures to compete for consumer with lower costs. Otherwise, we might fall like Rome -or experience bad economy like Greece.
* Taking care of the poor by charities and/or citizens would become easier if economy got better.
* Stupid, chicken, or evil people don't speak up -- Ann does not want your money, vote, or praise, so she has no conflict of interest in her claims.
