at first I was like 'it's beneath the yellow box' then he removed it and there was nothing there!
then the black board he held, there was a black bag behind it! he must've taken it out just before he dropped it in!
man he's so good at magic!

There's an extra bit to this act where Penn comes out and tells the audience not to worry because the rabbit was fake and to prove it, he shows them the actual rabbit safe and sound......but the one he shows them is clearly a different rabbit to the one they "killed". LOL
