Always wanted one of these. Picked up a pair of '72's a year ago, 4 speed driver and an auto parts car. Have my eye on a 3rd at a local yard. Doing some general resto on the driver. upholstery on the d&p seats alone came to $7C. Daydream about a Cosworth Vega or GXP Solstice swap to really wake up one of the others. Can't help but think that 260 ic turbo hp from a 3.3K car in a 2K car could be too much fun. I ain't never had too much fun. : )

I,myself,am an OPEL GT PURIST,and I have to say-GOOD JOB!! excellent ride-You have there...(btw,if it were a 1300 car-yeh,you have ruined a pair of "rare classics,but-I think both of your bone yard finds, were probably factory 1900 cars...)....

yet another ruined classic, its like making a chevelle ss 454 a pro street car, it cmpletle loses its value!!!

Wild looking little Opel
Styled to resemble the Frank Mazi "BB / Altered" Opel GT drag car from the 1980's
Ahhhh.. Finally the haters! This "ruined classic" was resurrected from 2 totaled junk yard GT's headed for the crusher, so nothing was ruined. I did not cut up a pristine show car, merely breathed life back into 2 dead corpses. And yes, If I were a purist, I could have restored this to a whopping 68 bhp 1.3L powerhouse. But, because I'm not a girl or a whussy, I opted for the 840bhp option. Sorry you don't agree, but Pro Street is the coolest, meanest looking profile you can give a car. Period!
