Honestly, I don't remember how long it was before she started actually eating, but you can go back through the videos and see. As far as food suggestions go, you should just look at the titles of my videos, and you'll get lots of suggestions there. soft foods are good: potatoes, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, regular squash, zucchini, oatmeal fingers (see BLW cookbook).

I have to say your videos are really helpful! We are just about to start blw with our 6 month old girl and I have been wondering what to feed her. You've given me some great ideas. How long was it before she really started to eat some of the food? And are there any foods you wouldn't recommend? We have tried chicken, toast, apple and banana so far. Your daughter is a cutie!!

@jadita44 No, she has been eating since she was 5 1/2, and she is progressing so well, that it was time for her to try some chicken. Keep in mind, the pieces that we gave her were pretty small. Of course we are always nervous about the possibility of choking, but there is a difference between gagging and choking. She has gagged before, but ALWAYS brings it back up. She hasn't choked, and she is now 1 year old and eating like a champ!

She is ADORABLE! pls be careful with these big pieces they can get stuck in her throat, everything shld be mashed or super tiny. Just hear of awful things is all, so ya, she is too cute.
