I love AMD but what about the i7 980 XE (32nm fab) ??? i love performance too and the later chips seems to probably will handle crysis 2 beter, and most likely will over-clock even higher
Yeah Intel has some ridiculous prices for there top processors, AMD puts out amazing quad cores and at an amazing price. Now in the end does it compete with the performance of an Intel i7? NO, but it comes pretty damn close and at a fraction of the price.
The issue I have with AMD is overheating. Intel processors literally cannot overheat. Ever. AMD is great because the freedom they allow makes for unrestricted overclocking. They both have their uses but you can fuck your AMD CPU up a lot easier than your Intel.
Every intel processor i have overclocked just slightly (including three quad cores) tends break even at low temperatures, under 50 C. it is just not the same quality. I never had an AMD fail. Now i use amd.

I know they are using mineral oil... but why call it invisible?
How about an Intel x86 quad core?
AMD rules
Myself, I've always favored AMD. Intel's prices are just unfeasible.
