spyderco compression lock i have the para 2 it is stronger than any locks you have mentioned ! lockbacks have a small spring that may break and cause a failure in real world use especially outdoors for extended trips where the possibility of rust is high. also the same applies to axis locks mine broke on my griptillian . frame and liner locks are fine provided it is from a good company (you get what you pay for) in most cases simpler is better so avoid knifes with springs.

What's your opinion on the SOG "piston lock" used on their Flash series, among others?

Gee, thanks for the vid describing the different locking mechs. Very useful! My personal favorite would be a good liner lock.

are you knives left handed?

Good to see a new video, Dan. I don't agree with all of your views on the locks but, I respect them.
K well i agree with you on the fixed blade and axis and butterfly designs. But of all the knives i have owned and worked with. I mean WORKED with. I have never ever had a liner lock fail on me. Never! I have had a frame locks overextend. My pos boker switch blade like the one you have failed because the metal wore out. Slip joints are a joke lol. My cs voyager lock back broke while i was making a camp fire. I would say next to fixed and butterfly design it would be axis and liner.

Im going to have to agree with you, I have never had an issue with a proper liner lock, but the majority of people who use lier locks use cheep knives with cheep linerlocks that fail quite easily. A properly built linerlock is incredibly strong.
thank you for your opinions,
Danny
