MC Machinery @ FabTech 2009

FABTECH International was held at McCormick Place November 15th ~ 18th 2009. Mitsubishi EDM/Laser, MC Machinery Systems Inc. provided a booth displaying the latest in the way of metal fabrication equipment covering Laser, Press Brake, Waterjet and all the supporting software.

Laser displayed the LVPlus II with the new 45-CFR resonator now providing 4500 watts of cutting power for faster, cuts and thicker material processing.

Press Brake displayed the latest from TOYOKOKI emphasizing the new WIN II control and a much more energy efficient machine.

Waterjet created the biggest splash with the introduction of the new KMT 125 HP 90,000 PSI intensifier pump. This new monster of a pump was running on the new DX510 series of the SUPREMA line which provides Intelligent Taper Control as a standard feature. The sample cuts were being run in 1.5 mild steel running over 2.5/min with incredible edge quality and surface finish.

Supporting all three of these fabrication processes was the Metamation programming software system specially designed to develop programs to optimize each machines capabilities. One of the cool features is the True Shape Nesting package that that places whatever part combinations you require into an optimized pattern for best sheet utilization.
