okay so I figured I would share my secret with you guys. look at the difference between when I don't stretch and when I do stretch out my back. I also included the stretch that I do and at the end I show you how I got my spiral to be the way it is. Let me know if this helps at all. :)
ETA if you want to know how I went from not being able to touch my toes, to being able to get my head to the floor, watch these :P

  • Oh thanks so much Laurai! These are really usefull. I have been stretching a lot lately and i feel like im never progressing with my splits. im working on side splits and im about 1-1 1/2 feet off the ground. i cant do the one foot in front of other AT ALL. it hurts my hips soooo much, i dont understand how people put like one foot in front and the other foot sideways.. did that make sense? I hope you know what im talking about.

  • oh I'm glad you're making progress. Do you mean like, in a split position one leg in front and the other behind in a straight line, or like.. one leg in front and the other to the side as in an L, like a 90 degree angle?

  • thank you, i do some of these but there some that i've never even thought of, so thank you bery much for posting this vidio. when i do a catch foot spiral, i cant seem to get my foot to touch my head, do you have any tips that may help? thanks again, :)

  • just practice. you just have to stretch before you try it, and just keep trying, you'll get there eventually. it took me FOREVER to be able to touch my head. like.. a year probably.

    can you make a video of how you got your splits? I can't find anything to help with those, and i think thats what's hurting my spiral more than anything

  • I mean like one leg in front and the other behind in a straight line. i noticed a lot of people go down with one leg behind the other shaping a L and i just can't do it.
