  • Drove from Florida to Chicago to see them at Pitchfork 09 and they were my favorite band of the festival. If i didn't miss Yo La Tengo and Jesus Lizard then it'd be a different story. They opened with a new song that started with the band cawing in unison. It sounded like a field of crows making noises at the same time. A great live band and I would go out of my way to see them again anytime. Wonder what this would sound like live?

  • I dunno, I've been hearing some negative stuff about ODD BLOOD, but I hope it ends up being a good album. As you know, I'm really digging this track, but the mix has me worried about the other songs.

  • deedledrop i have to thank you for the reviews i think they are really great-about yeasayer i dont want to be so radical about the album, i think the band is awesome with lot of potential, i was upset cause i thought this would be their sublime album, i think madder redits one of the best in the album(the other are good but better played live). Im still waitingfor 2010 foals and fleetfoxes album so those reviews i would apreciate very much. thank lot, greetings from chile

  • Thanks for the kind words! :-D I put a lot of effort into what I do, and I'm glad you like it. Keep watching and I'll keep making reviews!

  • ODDBLOOD! really is odd... you must kick out the producer! you guys have so much talent for this crab mixing record... the alive sound of this songs are great! but then its very disapointing and upseting the mix-sound recording, its really bad, the up beats songs are slower as "i remember", and the really good "O.N.E" its badly mix with unberable sinths... so do not expect nothing unless any love performance... in this one they show a bad experimental childish sound which leads no where...

  • Man, sad to hear the LP sucks. It's getting so hyped now. :-(

  • decent review... think its a slightly better song then a decent 8 I think its a strong 8 for the fact that they have been playing this song for so long live and did a nice job changing it up. If artists were stocks I would be investing in Yeasayer right about now

  • I have Yeasayer's album "All Hour Cymbals" and the kids dig the song "Sunrise" on my Saturdays. I don't dig the album as a whole, but it has some good ideas. This song sounded decent enough. I might investigate further.

Also, I have Lustmord and Lustomord/Melvins reviews on YWIR. His new album wasn't hot shit, but his old stuff was kind of cool. The Melvins collab was awesome !

  • Primo Carnera!

  • Nice prayer flags! Have you checked out Le Loup?

  • @theneedledrop - You've got to give it a few listens. Its def. different than the first album, but every band grows. I really like Odd Blood. A lot of up beat songs. All depends on your taste though.

  • the chorus is like crack

  • I don't like this song... it's TOO much.

  • Are you planning to do an Odd Blood album review?

  • @theneedledrop Be very worried. The album falls apart about halfway through.
