@Nickleby2 Everyone knows mj had more work to do and had the most spotlight than Jermaine and Jackie. Take a look at any vid of the Jackson 5 and you will see mj had the most spotlight. Why do you think he was the lead of the group? huh. And of course Jermaine and Jackie were the sex symbols because mj was a young baby, you would be arrested for considering mj the sex smybol, duh.

@heyathere1000 Actually, Jermaine and jackie had the most spotlight. Jermaine was co-lead singer of the group, and he often had his own rendition too, Plus, he had to keep the beat going with his bass guitar. MJ's low self esteem may have been a result of the crowd always calling for Jermaine or jackie and not him more than him, He was viewed as the cute kid that everybody loved, but not as a sex symbol. When you are the groups sex symbol that adds much more pressure on you.

@Nickleby2 Your's is utter nonsense. Everyone knows the lead has the most pressure, the one who has the most spotlight has the most pressure and so on. Yes all had pressure but mj had the most pressure.

@heyathere1000 That is utter nonesense. all the brothers practice together. They all new the songs together and the way they recorded, they never new what they were going to sing until the day of the recording, so there was no undue pressure on MJ. If anything, the people who were to play the music to a large audience would have had the greater pressure, and that was Tito and Jermaine. They had to learn the songs, learn the choreography and then learn to play the instruments to the songs.

@Nickleby2 MJ had the most pressure because he was the greatest lead star and more of a spot light to people so the pressure was more on him, he had far more work to do than Marlon. Just because Marlon didn't know what to do and mj did mj still had more work. If anything by Marlon not having as much work and only being a side kick he should of knew what do do more than mj, mj had far more work than Marlon and still did best at what he did than Marlon. Mj was just more talented than Marlon.

People tend to focus on Mj as if he was the only child in the group, when all of j5 were kids and were under much pressure. I think MJ had it easier because singing and dancing came naturally to him and he played no instruments. poor Marlon struggled and he was only 6 years old and uncoordinated because he was a premature baby so he had double problems. all the brothers grew up to fast and all except Mj married in their teens or early twenties.
