you probably shouldn't sit down like that when doing a monologue. It's easier if you stand up and do something. Like it gives you something to do. An example would be sitting on a chair folding laundry. Then you can play with how you react to things, and it looks more believable. Or chopping up vegetables or something. Also, dont drop your voice volume at the end of a sentence. I go to an arts school for acting, so I hope these things help. Let me know if you need any more help!
