Two years ago, I started rebuilding this 1981 Honda CX500. This is the first test drive with it after most mechanical construction is finished. A lot of work is left but the bike is a blast to drive.
a fun unique ride, i restored one after 4 yrs of sitting ... it took one day to yank the motor ,clean the carbs, and do the waterpump and some seals but with only 18,000 miles on the motor it runs like new and gets 60 mpg so for 1200 dollars total it kicks any scooters ass for comfort speed and maintenance!
Did you ever put a speedometer and tach on this?

I like my cx500, they have the perfect amount of power for solo riding. I can rip the throttle in a corner and not worry about low siding
