The driving experience was tight! While most wondered why I would drive such a vehicle during Alaska's winter, I simply replied, "It's a car that was intended to be driven, not garaged."
As far as choosing this Mustang rather than a more "ALASKA PRACTICAL" vehicle, I decided that if I was gonna spend that kind of $$ on a vehicle, I'll get what I want and not the Camry. I drove this car all winter and felt just as confident as I did in my Expedition. Trick is to watch out for those with minimal winter driving experience and hot-shots in 4X4's that get irritated at them there-by causing accidents. The other thing is to be responsible and drive sanely. Keep it cool and don't parade or try to show off and you'll love the winter driving as much as I do.

  • i was planning to buy 2011 ford mustang v6. but always worried about winter coz people kept telling me its just for summer. so lil confuse. can anyone tell me the truth? thanks

  • @1tashdor

Watch my vid dude. Did those losers drive all year long in winter conditions - didn't think so. Get a Mustang!

  • @1tashdor v6...? wtf are you thinking..

  • @UFCownage I was with the wife when shopping. I know, I learned my lesson. Shoulda-Coulda-Woulda.

My next one is definitely a GT or better. Like my weapons, they are only getting bigger and better.

  • Thanks for the vid. My concern with driving in the winter, at least around here in Indiana, is the damn salt on the road more than the snow. It doesn't bother me too much with my older '98 mustang, but I'm looking at getting one of these '09s and am not sure if I would want to have it in the salt.

  • @disillusions

Stick a bunch of slugs under your carraiage. Maybe they'll eat up any potential salt hazards you come upon. lol. seriously, salt is f'd up. I understand your delimna. can't help. ANY ONE ELSE HAVE SOME IDEAS?

  • Did your car have weight in the trunk and or snow tires?

  • rofl you are amazed by this "traction control device"... its basic shit man, where have you been the past 15 years

  • I have a 2007 ford mustang I live near chicago illinois so we get a lot of snow and I do love the slip resistant

  • Cars are meant to be driven YEAR round given proper tires are equipped on the vehicle

My buddy has the 2007 V6 as well as the 2012 GT

    Both are driving year round.

  • I drove an 05 gt without snow tires all of last winter in Iowa, it was pretty harsh, I gotta do it again this year but ill have snow tires and gonna weigh the back end down as much as I can

  • I use to run ford crown vics in the winter in Canada all the time, with all seasons. Been through every blizzard we had for a couple years, and I never had an issue. Its funny the amount of folks that say "your crazy for driving a car like that in the snow! get a 4x4" well, I gotta 4x4 now, they might make getting up to speed easier, but slowing down is just as sketchy... :P

  • I drove a 71 mach 1 for 4 years when i based at elmendorf AFB Alaska never really had any problems 302 auto 295-50-15s on the back

  • @BlueColdDog Nice vid man, I always kind of feel awestruck by those of us brave enough to try Anchorages road in winter in a rear wheel drive.

  • was that blinking light traction control? the first thing i do when i get in a car with traction control, is turn it off. electronic malarky. feather your own throttle. a computer doesn't need to control the frickin throttle for you.
