England use to be a good place but then it changed and America seceded because they felt their voice wasn't counted so I understand Texans feeling that way too and thats what happens when you have a big country, millions of people are going to not get what they voted for every single time. To stop Texas would be hypocrisy on the US's part. They could still even be our ally just not have the same exact beliefs like many of our allies.

Why people see secession as treason? When a binding agreement (the US Constitution) is not honored by one of the parts (the Federal government) what is the legal course of action?

I know when the 15th was added. It does not trump the aformentioned founding principles. Each state has that right when the Fed no longer represents its people. I suggest you reread the constitution with understanding.

I suggest you read your constitution. The 1869 court statement is a more elaborate explanation of the Constitution. That is small aggressive groups within the country do not have the right simply section off parts of US territory for their own. Such as to keep people as slaves or deny women equal rights.

    Wrong!

Our founding constitution is our fundamental principles and established precedents for our Gvmnt, whereby all law must act in accord. Written in 1787. Failing this, each state must decide a course to best represent its people. Failing that, it falls to the people to represent themselves. The American founders knew all men are fallible, be it intentional or otherwise. Corruption leades to oppression, that in turn leads to tyranny. You're standing on the wrong side son.

Wrong! answered in White versus Texas 1869 supreme court decision. US government holds "Parentis Patria" as sole authority elected by majority vote. You lost get used to it or leave United States territory.

He was just saying that to appease a certain segment of voters. Rick Perry is 100% establishment neo-con all the way no matter what his rhetoric is.

OMG! No one in Texas was worrying about possible secession! They were begging to join the nation! America even denied them! For nine years before America finally allowed them to join, the Republic of Texas was quite literaly the worst place in North America to reside! So, let them secede! they'll just fail as a nation... AGAIN!

lmfao I rather Rick Perry than Bloomberg! he is not saying anything bad...its a fact. If the central goverment becomes oppresive the states can leave the union.. base on the history of the country and the constitution it would make no sense for it to be other wise.
