From Clara Bow's iconic film "It". A scene contrasting the preparations she and her romantic rival make to ready themselves for a dinner at the Ritz. Shopgirl Clara displays the inventiveness, ebullience, and other charms she'll need to catch the eye of her handsome employer.

  • Instant high fashion!! i love it!! What happens next?? is there a part two?!

  • I've posted one other clip from later in the movie, but if you really want to know what comes next rent or buy the movie. I'm only trying to increase awareness of Clara Bow and this fun flick, not broadcast the entire film.

  • A wonderful scene, from an iconic film. Thanks for posting.

  • Clara Bow's new dress looks like the one I bought in Ann Taylor last month! o_O I knew there was style recycling, but I didn't think they recycled all the way back from the 1920s

  • haha, I've just heard about Clara and I really like her! She is so lovely!

And you know what, my name is also Clara and I'm also born on the 29th July =P

  • That kid was one lucky bastard...

  • No!

  • TV Tropes brought me here!

  • @lilanma Ok then,I'll add the men to my comment too. Hope ya'all fell better about me including the guys. This whole thing is silly, the way you people out there dish out your "thumbs down" over a bit of joking around in the first place. Jeez.

  • @4MaryAnna To be honest, your statement was a pretty reductive stereotype. I'm not sure why taking issue with it means that 'women' (even though men have commented) are being insecure/jealous.
