Haul Rope Cleaning Tool

This is a specialized tool used to clean the wire rope of debris and hardened rope lubrication prior to applying new wire rope lubricant. It uses spring loaded cutting dies to sit into the valleys of the rope and clean out the debris and residue buildup. It can be used up to speeds of 2.0 m/sec. After the cutting dies have done thier job, a series of stiff wire brushes clean the excess flakes off of the rope. We catch all of the debris in the plastic sheeting and then prepare for lubrication. This particular unit is for an 8 strand wire rope.
