there is simply no point for the this censorship. it doesnt stop people spreading child pornography, all it does do is slow down the internet, block some legal sites and give parents a false sense of protection.

No. The issue would not be over. Child pornography is a red herring. Stop talking about it. This is censorship on a much broader scale than this surface misdirection of child pornography. Family filters already exist, and are free. Parents have all the tools and education available to "protect" their children from the big, bad, terrible internet already.
