@XthrownX then for the resonant side of the toms i suggest either a clear g1 or an ebony ambassador from remo (they are both 1 ply reso heads but the remo one is black and will give your kit a very unique look) for snare i suggest Evans hd dry with some moon gel over an evans hazy 300 you should also upgrade your snare wire to a pure sound snare.for base drum an evans Emad 2 for batter side and evans emad reso for resonant side.do all that (like i did) and you will have one amazing sounding kit

@XthrownX unfortunatley there is no way it will sound exactly like this kit....not only does Jared play a $5,000 drum kit but also has all of his drum individually miced and equed by a professional sound engineer that being said the pearl vision is a great set....i do suggest maybe getting the vml version which is all maple and much better than birch and basswood then simply put evans coated g2s on the toms each with an aquarian studio ring

Hey jared, i just bought a pearl vision vsx with birch and basswood shells, do you think it is a good drum kit that will sound similar to yours or should i trade mine in for something else? thank you!!!

Would Electrical tape work?

Drum Gum = Tape
Sticky on one side and not sticky on the other ;)

Before and afters would have been nice. I noticed your bass reso head has wrinkles. I found that tuning my bass drum heads just tight enough to get rid of the wrinkles while pressing in the middle of the head gave me the lowest pitch possible without sacrificing tone. Also the Evans Emad bass drum heads are made to get that thump right out of the box. I use the EQ pad as well. The first time I tuned my bass, it was perfect. I had never even tuned a bass before.

@tivatboys yh pretty much, but i got a TAMA imperialstar 5 piece with hardware and Sabian sbr cymbals and remo heads with almost 1000EURO... i think it's a pretty good price :P

Can I use bubble gum?
Jared, for a good sounding snare drum with no overtones, would your recomend the drum gum or do the rings also do a good job? I need your opinion. Thank you. =)

@iboibi I would recommend Drum Gum or Moon Gel for that. Thanks!
