@pinkhighway Maureen McGovern also did a flawless version of this...and she's Irish, but MAN....Babs burns it up.....and James is Irish, so we know she has good motivation...but, let's face it...Babs can sing ANYTHING... I saw her in Toronto in 06, and, it was one of highlights of my life......It doesn't get better!!!!!!!!

@pinkhighway so agree.....love this amazing stuff, and my hat's off to the one who found this diamond.....just love it.....nice that Babs did this, and you know, it's all about Jim...Brolin...

Great work, Arne... I like it !
I like the song too ... but Barbra sounds in my opinion a bit nasal especially with the high notes, she's to much "loud"in some parts. Very pervasive...it does not sounds pleasant .

great! thanks Arne... :-)

TIMELESS! Maybe why Ms Streisand named her 2000 concert is because of the treasures never released. From her interviews after the early days, she always does three takes "for insurance." Hopefully she will be a trail blazer once more and release a GREATEST HITS 3! With this and other songs and be her best selling album. Thanks @MrZielbell5

being irish and a big fan of Barbra's it's lovely to hear her sing a bit about places in Ireland i really wish it had been included in BTB though what an addition it would have made, here's hoping the rumoured unreleased tracks album comes to fruition next year!!!
-
@novascotiawill You said it. It's hard for me to believe that this was left off the final BTB album. In fact, the outtakes that I've heard from these sessions are far superior to many of the cuts included on the album. It's a real mystery, but hopefully Sony will make it right by re-releasing them on a compilation CD. If they don't, they're idiots. This vocal is superb! Brava, Barbra.

gorgeous
@Mr Ziebell5 I know that says an outtake from Back to Broadway, but this sounds like Barbra 1984. I seem to remember a making of the album interview in 1985 and she said she recorded 17 songs. The last song, rather, 25+ years later an anthem, "Somewhere" was track 12. Any ideas of the other 5?

@407mookie
On My Own (from Les Miserables), A Funny Thing Happened On My Way To Love (from I Can Get It For You Wholesale), Moonfall (from The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Make Our Garden Grow(Bernstein) and All I Ask of You (from Phantom of the Opera) – which I’ve already uploaded.
