  • Well, I disagree.

There are people who work much harder than us who are not successful.

We were lucky to be born in America and not in an aborignal village. Privilege does happen. I know some guys who were born into privilege.

I think you missed the mark here, Chirs.

  • Nice comments about needing to work to get what a person wants, that opportunities don't generally fall into a persons lap, they have to reach for them. Balance of time, energy and work are all key elements.

  • Totally agree. It's been said many times - about top performers in all fields - that "you make your own luck" - and that is through dedication, commitment and a lot of hard work.

  • I totally stuck up for you on your blog Chris because I think there is no "luck" involved in what you've achieved.

That should be obvious to anyone who listens to you, reads your blog or follows your activities online - it's hard work, lots of 'giving' and commitment that got you there.

  • So true.

  • Make your own luck, eh... It makes sense, doesn't it? Put yourself in position to get lucky... And getting into the position means 1) start 2) do 3) repeat (hard work), just like you said. Good stuff Chris!

  • No such thing as luck its called work in my book. Thanks for breaking it all down into bite size pieces. I still need to do more or more. The more I learn the more I need to learn.

  • I totally agree, your an inspirational man Chris! I sometimes do the same, but when I think about it, it just boils down to hard work and effort.

  • Viggo Mortensen, up until was in Lord of the Rings, answered every email/letter he ever got. There is something to be said for communicating with people to build a fan base.

Keep using your superpowers for good!

  • This is great advice, thanks Chris!
