@hartejoseph the Baphomet image was replicated from the statue of Jupiter, much like the statue of the seated Washington...the prayer on the back of your dollar bill is to this same 'horned' god...if Baphomet is just a 'gargoyle' to mislead the uninitiated from a bigger secret I wouldn't have any idea of that kind of evil to supercede this god of death and destruction they have embraced.

Baphomet has alot more important when you consider it's an analogy of combining opposities.

Yep zeus too levi managed to fit alot of symbols into one image I suppose it could be said to symbolise paganism in general a combination of alot of pantheons.I have read stories of people invoking baphomet and ending up being possessed by a demon with no fixed personality because of the chaotic make up of the image as such a combination of to many archetypes strange but true.
