a bit old but the irradiate puzzler.

I think it isnt radiation because even high levels take a few days to kill. numerous real world examples exist.

But microwave energy would kill very quickly in high doses. Also without metal shielding the energy would spread to other units nearby. So I think an irradiate is actually some high microwave energy projectile shot into one unit to damage it and other units around it.
