This puts today's crap music to shame.

This is CRAZY FAB!! Super rare to see groovy kidz dancin' to a C's tune. Help really is tied with For All We Know as my fave tune. That organ gave me nothing short of an out of body experience when I was 10 or 11. And seeing K in all of her ecstasy ~ rockin' out on the drums ~ gives me endless joy. Love the hipster who graffiti's their name at the opening
The only other times I remember dancing to C's tunes was Please Mr. Postman at a high school dance and Calling Occupants at the 30th

@Iwakuni8 I was wondering which TV show this was from- thanks! As a Beatles and Carpenters fan (and I've been listening to all their covers), this was quite groovy!

With all due respect to the Beatles' fans, I agree that this is the best version of HELP that I have ever heard. It truly ROCKS!

Wow. A whole other dimension to Karen's talent. As much as I love the other stuff, almost wish they'd stuck to this style. Hmm. Thanks for posting.

This is one SUPER COOL VIDEO... The Carpenters knew how to ROCK and ROLL. Karen's drumming is excellent. The entire band was a perfect collection of great artists. HALL OF FAME for sure.

Carpenters did early Beatles better than early Beatles did. Check out "Nowhere Man" and "Can't Buy Me Love"
My father said that this version is better than The Beatles' ones. :)

Peggy Fleming TV special (I really don't know who is she.)

@ssoko Peggy Fleming was an Olympic champion figure skater, still appears occasionally as a commentator on televised figure skating. I think the show was circa 1969, just before the Carpenters broke into the big time. The show was filmed at Squaw Valley. Great post, real vintage.
