A fantastic pole jam event hosted by Taylors Retreat in Surrey UK and organised (in a matter of days!) by the fabulous Vicky Heasman and Debbie Merchant.

Facebook event is here: http://www.facebook.com/#/event.php?eid=248883667198&ref=ss

Intoduction to the Haiti Earthquake Survivors Fund Pole Jam event by Vicky Heasman:

I am sure you have all seen the shocking pictures from Haiti from the past few days. Haiti was hit by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake on Tuesday, 12th January, destroying much of the capital Port-Au-Prince.

The red cross estimate 45,000-50,000 people have died and up to 3 million have been affected. Haiti is a poor country anyway, but what little infrastructure they has is now gone. Haitians feel very alone at the moment.

Most of the bodies are covered in white bed sheets or rolled inside carpets, but others have been left exposed to the hot sun and the stench of rotting bodies has begun to fill the air.

Please help these people.

Pole Jam and raffle to raise money for the survivors of Haiti to be held at Taylors farm 12-6pm £10 per person.

  • lucky little bastards! I had to wait until I was 18....

  • @captwasabi, I can't see why not. This performance was done with adequate body covering and the dancing and the movements performed weren't sexually suggestive. Personally I can't imagine any legitimate reason that the children shouldn't have the opportunity to learn how to dance on the pole themselves. God knows the public schools aren't giving them the athletic backgrounds they need in order to be healthy.

  • @fastestkidaround lol ur silly as hell

  • I pole dance and I practise with my children at home! how else can I!?hide my pole at home!! lol. they've both seen videos on here as well and think its amazing and elegant, did she strip?, did she gyrate her privates in peoples faces? NO. its a style of dance that some people will be surprised to hear kids are wowed with!

  • The event was specifically for Pole dancing and the Studio is purpose built for this art form, those are the children of pole dancers who came to the event to raise money for a fantastic cause, if it was inapropriate for them to be wathcing, their parents would not be behind them allowing them to do so (yes i know this for fact, i was there on the day). Maxine's performance was graceful, elegant and beautiful, nothing sexual, nothing that should be away from children.

  • whats the beef with pole dancing and the kids seeing it?..its a brilliant form of excercise and takes alot of strength. the reason why the dancers wear so little is so they can actually stick to the pole and dont fall off and break their neck. its a pretty and fun way to work out and boys can do it too. personally i dont see anything wrong with showing kids a fun way of excercise.

  • i agree, they are toooo young, BUT great performance

  • wtf!? k thats gotta be the most unexpected find ever. kids watchin pole dancin in a fricken barn. k ...youtube's cut off. fer a while.

  • Wow. Is this really appropriate for little kids to be watching? I mean, I nderstand that folks are trying to make this a true art form and all that but really? Little 5-7 year old kids watching pole dancing?

    Really?

  • amazing strength. x
