I taught my Dad to shoot skeet (kind of like the blind leading the blind) at Coyote Clays in Morgan Hill, CA. I get further instruction from Clarence and Carl at Yolo Sportman's Association in Woodland, CA. This video was edited and taken by my awesome twin, Celeste. ~September 2009~

  • Tell the truth Collette have you hit station 8 yet?

  • @xlasvegan7x Ha, heck no. :) I love shooting, but I'm still hooked on station 1 and 7 :)

  • That was very cool. I love the smile on the Dad's face after he hits his first clay. That is so cool to see new shooters hit their first clay. Did he keep the hull as a souvenir? We encourage our new shooters to keep the hull of their first hit.

  • @wizzbangtg No, but he did get a huge bruise on his shoulder as a souvenir!

  • Cool chick

  • He needs a tight grip on the stock, sit tight in the shoulder, but don't tighten his back. He needs to keep it relaxed and let it role with the kick. Just make sure to not let any space between the butt of the gun and your shoulder or you WILL end up with a bruise every time no matter how much you shoot.

  • @Xolette I could see that happening. I did notice he was not holding the but in the pocket.

  • I would love to try that :D

  • Great stuff!
