2 Actors...2 Chairs...10 Minutes...Two Takes.
This is an experiment in mixing improvisation with film. The spontaneity of live improv and the need for film to have similar action and dialogue so that it can be edited.
All the actors in this project were given the same suggestion to get them started. They were paired up and had 10 minutes to rehearse a scene. Then they performed it in front of the cameras. This is the story, the characters and the dialogue that they created. This is actor's acting in the purest form. I edited their story together from the two takes that I had.
The suggestion was "Say it isn't so..." and this piece, based on that suggestion is called, "the Piknik".
