How would you fix this forehand?

The forehand kinda looks like he was lobbing it defensively however his 4hand has no shoulder turn or maybe the kid got in the way so he shortened his shoulder turn as not to hurt him. I agree the inside out footwork was gr8. The most important thing is safety, after all "Safety is 1st."

this is not a good shot to judge, even pros have mishits and late hits...need to see more of him with various ball strikes in order to properly evaluate!

he doing it wrong because he has a kid in the back of him if he have taken a good forehand he had hit the kid in the face LOL
-
dude give him a good ball, that he can hit nice, and not at the backhand side, deep down the court where his friends are. then you would have a hole different forehand

@leverettf82 need to practice to do that.. :p

He should take the ball on the rise instead of waiting for it to peak and then drop.

There's nothing wrong in backing up, nor in hitting while moving backward, yet, it's not ideal, especially when you jump - even if it's not the case here - and expect to get as much forward momentum as you can get.
There's surely a problem about not being solidly positionned before swinging and he should be idealy jumping on that: it's too high and he looses much by staying on the ground.
If not his stance, he is caught when he swings: it's like only his waist turns.

the high ball if u hit topspin it'll go high like that. do the flat stroke!
