October, 2008 - Born with Nail Patella Syndrome and faced with imminent death, Iowan George McMahon was offered a Cannabis (marijuana) cigarette in his hospital room and said "Yes". A week later he left the hospital and embarked on a journey that resulted in his inclusion in the U.S. government's "Compassionate IND" (Investigational New Drug) program. Today, he is one of only four Americans legally receiving the government-grown Cannabis.

The government has not been interested in evaluating the results of it's medicinal marijuana program, so Patients Out of Time commissioned a series of intensive physical and mental tests on the IND patients. The "Missoula Study" (Chronic Cannabis Use Study) results were presented at Patients Out of Time's 2002 Cannabis Therapeutics Conference and are available from their website: http://medicalcannabis.com.
DVDs are also available from the site.

Ervin Dargan and I conducted this interview from George's home in Livermore, Iowa. Special thanks to Patients Out of Time for making this video possible.

  • Thanks George!

  • they knew the pot would make him not need the pills no more. so that is why it took 2 yrs to get approved. damn it! THE drug lord can't make no money if he can't push his pills. they can't afford to let people cure themselves with real and natural medicine. the funeral homes need money too. The bad hospitals let you die and the good hospitals kill you.
