Airshow Matsushima (Part 1) Blue Impulse : 松島 ブルーインパルス 2009

The Japanese version of the Blue Angels, the Blue Impulse, showing their best at the 2009 Matsushima Airshow. One of the schools that I teach at is within the Blue Impulses training radius, so we often get roaring, subsonic flybys throughout the summer. I put the slower craft (helicopters and rescue planes) in the beginning and the Blue Impulse as the Grand Finale. *Equipment: Filmed on the Canon SX1 in 1080p, edited with iMovie, and exported in 720p. The articulated screen on the SX1 was essential to get most of the shots above the crowd.
