I know Tulkus who are extraordinary teachers of the Dharma, embodiments of compassion and integrity. But like this young Lama has said, they may be an extraordinary human but they are still just human, I also know of teachers who are corrupted by the usual culprits of greed, power and sexuality. This is true among all the different schools in Buddhism so we need discernment. Thank you Rinpoche for your honest and brave confession, what is needed is transparency especially in Tibetan Buddhism.

Why do you presume enlightened masters do not behave like normal human beings? Again, this is a cultural issue thats very specific to Tibetan Buddhism, please do not blame it on "enlightened or not". I can't think of any school within Mahayana and Therevada that recognises the tulku system.

I am a Christian and a try- to - be buddhist. My own church accused me . I left my church because of it under my will. However , I still believe in the Christ. And, because of God, I started to learn about zen Buddhism . It is not a easy path to be on and walk all the way, since they are two different religion. After I saw this video, I am enlightened .religion is not something to limit our life;it is something to make us learning the right way of living and receiving happiness and freedom.

I respect you and appreciate what you said. am not Buddist, I am newly Catholic, but again I appreciate and respect your thoughts and what it was like in your life. I always the poor kid, always got picked on, As an adult I failed at everything including marriages. I had a drug habit, and now suffer from many sicknesses. Also gang raped and sexually abused .I don't know you, I have to say we have many many things in common. you can do whatever you want. I pray for your happiness and success

I beliebe that that is not his real speech.

If you look carefully the movement of his mouth, even with latency you will understand that probably this is not his real speech, rather it is the result of an inteference on the video.

    Dear Kalu Rinpoche

I admire your honesty. I hope you will find balance and happiness in the ups and downs of life. I was in a similar situation as you as a doctor of psychology and honestly wrote a book" Butterfly on the Wrist' telling all about my addictions, my sexual abuse, confusion and how i got freed from it by trusting whatever life gives -for that is the most important gift in one;s life to use to unfold. The problem is the solution. vandrosiglio@yahoo.com Thank you Kalu Rinpoche
