Most all TV sitcoms/series were shot with a Mitchell BNCR camera. What you see is the front part of the panhead of camera #2. Looks nothing like a clipboard. Rookies!!
Back then, they probably would have let that slide even if they caught it. The way old tube TVs worked, the corners were pretty faded and curved, and I doubt anyone would have noticed it down there when it first aired.
