Thats nice and your neighbour was be very happy i think so. An ax, is going fast directly head off. Your wife didnt help? You hit the duck before head off? It will much easier than a goose. They much stronger.

Ok....yes i believe they had a good life. All most better than industry animals.
Also next year goose, i will also thibk they have more meat. Did you and your wife slaughter them, or your neighbour just as your other goosevideo? You have some other animals?

@JENS60 No, my wife does very little to help - our neighbour, the old lady, is very quick and efficient at plucking them - my wife does't like doing it. And you don't need to hit the duck as they were quite calm. And yes, I think duck-geese are stronger and they also have more meat so we will try and get them again next year!

No, this time I did most of them and our neighbour plucked and gutted them - a very messy business. The best way is to use a sharp axe and then pour boiling water over the feathers so they come out more easily. We are going to give her one bird for all her hard work!

We actually dispatched them in early November. Have eaten two and four are in the deep freezer. They all had a good life so no regrets. I think we will go for the duck-geese variety again next year as there is more meat on them than on a duck!
